Welcome to Willow Class!
We have Miss Watson, Mrs. Robinson and Mrs. Broughton working alongside our Year 6 children at Middlethorpe Primary Academy.
In Year 6, we work extremely hard to become the best role models we can be alongside fulfilling our roles as ambassadors for our school. In Year 6, our behaviour choices underpin our school values, and we show kindness to all, pride within all our learning and we take responsibility for everything we do!
PE will be every FRIDAY and a full PE kit will be needed in school on this day each week.
Reading is very important all the way through school and in Year 6, our children choose a book to bring home which they will enjoy, igniting a love of reading and ensuring that they are reading for pleasure. We encourage our children to read each day and to remember to bring their home reading book into school on a Friday so that the number of reads can be checked and singed off by an adult in class. This ensures that we are becoming the best readers we can possibly be!
Home Learning will be given out each Friday and is expected to be returned on a Thursday. This will be a piece of homework linked to the Knowledge Organiser of our ‘Driver Subject’ each term. Our children also receive mathematics homework and spellings homework on alternate weeks. Children also have access to other great resources such as Reading Plus, TT Rockstars and SumDog to help support their learning further at home.
